How to Plan, Justify, and Manage a Major Data Center Project

For additonal information or to register for this seminar,

This interactive seminar and practical tutorial illustrates the most successful approaches used to get a new data center project off to an optimal start with the “right” budget. As with many once-in-a-career projects, the most serious pitfalls occur in the very beginning before management knows enough to clearly define the project’s life-cycle objectives. As a result, many multimillion-dollar data centers recently built, or currently in design or construction, havinsufficient capabilities to achieve a fifteen-year useful life. In fact, most of these data centers will become functionally obsolete within the next five years. This session is most effective when a cross-discipline team from within your company attends together.
Seminar Information
To ensure an optimal learning environment and to encourage in-depth interaction with the faculty, each seminar is limited to twenty-five participants. Participation in Institute seminars is limited to companies that actually run data centers. Sales people, site infrastructure vendors, and consulting engineers are included only upon special invitation. The Institute and its faculty are vendor neutral and the seminar will include frank discussions of hardware manufacturers and site infrastructure vendors, and consulting engineers.

Seminar faculty draw on years of experience "in the trenches" and provide practical "here's how to do it" information. Most importantly, the faculty interacts directly with each individual or team to help define projects and develop a shared perspective of the desired outcome.

This Site Uptime Seminar officially begins Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM with a welcoming reception followed by a group dinner. This provides an opportunity for participants to meet informally with each other and the faculty. The seminar program officially begins Thursday morning at 8:00 AM and concludes by 1:00 PM on Friday.

Please download the brochure for seminar dates, locations, detailed agenda, and costs to register for the seminar you wish to attend, and to provide the Institute with other pertinent information about you and your company. Upon receipt of registration, the Institute will send a confirmation. To assure your seat at these limited-space seminars, you are encouraged to submit your registration as soon as possible.
