Computer room area:
The gross area of computer room being analyzed. Calculation of CCF can only be done on a single room at a time. If your site / data center has multiple rooms then enter data separately to determine the CCF for each room.
Total critical power dissipation in the room:
The Total critical power dissipation in the room is the total load of IT equipment. This value is best summed from the power distribution units in the room being reviewed. The UPS load for the reviewed room is acceptable if adjustments are made (subtractions) for any equipment supported by the UPS that is outside of the room being reviewed.
Cooling Unit Information
If you know your cooling units rated capacity in kilo watts (kW) then divide kW by 3.516 to determine capacity in tons.
If you enter Fan Motor data for any row then you must provide ALL data for that row.
Enter the total number of cooling units of each size that are installed in the room.
Enter the number of cooling units of each size that are normally running.

Approximate number of racks:
Enter the approximate number of power consuming cabinets and racks. Count only those cabinets, racks, and two post racks that have IT equipment with power cords to them, those with equipment that use a fan to dissipate heat. Patch panels for example are not counted. An approximate number is sufficient, the number is not critical to the calculations.
Max. IT equipment intake air temperature:
The maximum allowable IT equipment intake air temperature that has been established for the site. This is the temperature in the cold aisle, the temperature at the face of the IT equipment cabinets. If a maximum has not been established then use the maximum recommended temperature defined by ASHRAE, 80℉ (27℃).
Min. IT equipment intake air temperature:
The minimum allowable IT equipment intake air temperature that has been established for the site. If a minimum has not been established then use the minimum recommended temperature defined by ASHRAE, 64℉ (18℃).
Electric Utility Cost per kWh:
This is the cost of electricity, it can be determined from the utility bill. If not known, leave blank, a typical value of $0.10/kWhr will be used in calculations.
Annual maintenance cost per cooling unit
Enter the approximate annual maintenance cost per cooling unit. If the cost varies by size or type of unit, enter an approximate average. If maintenance costs are not broken out by unit then divide the total annual maintenance contract by the number of maintained units. Typical costs range from $2,000 to $3,000 per unit per year. If no value is entered $2,500 will be used in calculations.
