Data Center Energy Practitioner (DCEP)
The DCEP program was developed by the U.S. Department of Energy to raise the standards of those involved in energy assessments in data centers and accelerate energy savings. Upsite’s Senior Engineer, Lars Strong, P.E., has been certified by this program and is fully equipped to offer Federally-approved energy assessments.
Energy Efficiency Government Technology Act
Congresswoman Anna Eshoo (D-California) has proposed legislation to guide the energy usage for federal data centers to foster energy-efficiency best practices. The law is pending in the U.S. House of Representatives with a companion sponsored by Senator Frisch (R-Idaho) working through the Senate.
