Pioneer in data center airflow management, Upsite Technologies will discuss the state of and evolution of airflow management.

Las Vegas, NV – April 23, 2014 – Upsite Technologies, Inc., a leader in data center airflow management solutions, announced today that they will be unveiling a new airflow solution at Data Center World. This new product and the impact of airflow management will be examined in their presentation, at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 1.

Upsite’s educational and product information session will be located in the St. Croix A Room of The Mirage Resort on Thursday, May 1, at 8:30 a.m. The seminar is titled What’s Next in Cooling: Capacity, Containment, and More. In the session, Upsite Technologies will introduce their new game-changing containment product and illustrate how it will help data center managers get a better handle on their computer room airflow and thermal management. The presentation will include CFD analysis and real-world case studies that validate certain airflow management techniques.

Presented by Upsite’s Senior Engineer, Lars Strong, the session will discuss the state of computer room airflow management, understanding cooling utilization and bypass airflow, and new opportunities for improved airflow management and energy reduction.

“Cooling capacity is difficult to quantify, so using the Cooling Capacity Factor (CCF) to compare rated capacity to the IT load provides a valuable estimate of cooling infrastructure utilization,” explains Lars Strong. “The ability to implement and optimize future airflow management solutions becomes much clearer with the use of this metric.”

During the show, Upsite will be exhibiting at Booth #312. Stop by to see the new exhibit, learn more about their newest product, and pick up information and research in the field of airflow management. Additionally, the exhibit will be an opportunity to meet new members of the Upsite team including CEO, Peter Crook, and Director of Sales for Western North America & Asia-Pacific Regions, David Storkson.
